Flower Festival Sentosa 2008
Today is the last day for Sentosa Flower Festival 2008. Took this opportunity to visit Sentosa. I regretted for not bring my tripod along, anyway it doesn't make any difference as I own none of macro lens. Thus I just have general shoots.
Macro photography....
Big tree, small flowers....
Combination of harmony colors.

Singapore Chingay 2008
Attended Chingay Parade which is held in Singapore annually. It was my first time though to attend such parade, and certainly I would not miss the opportunity for photo shooting. This time, I have planned to test both of my available lens, EF-S 17-85mm and EF 50mm F1.8 on preview (15 Feb) and actual parade (16 Feb).
From my past experience, the most important home study needs to be done is to select a strategy location to have clearer view and good lighting. Thus, I were there around 630pm to spot the best location available before the parade begins.
Here are some of my photo shoots.
Preview Day (15 Feb) with EFS 17-85mm
Parade Day (16 Feb) with EF 50mm F1.8
My luck was not that good for actual parade day as I only can get an average view spot with moderate lighting. Nevertheless with this lens which has more F-stops, I managed to get a shoots in low light condition. Just wish the lens comes with Ultra Sound Motor, as the focus response is relatively slow or should I get the its sibling F1.4 USM or F1.2 L USM?
